Welcome to Dunsley, our cosy cottage for two, in the pretty fishing village of Staithes. Loved for its traffic-free streets, pretty harbour and sandy beach, Staithes is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets. Home to the young Captain James Cook, and once famed as both a smuggler’s paradise and one of the largest fishing ports in England, Staithes now attracts artists, walkers, and families keen to enjoy the peace, panoramas and coastal life. Like many houses in the village, Dunsley is a traditional fisherman’s cottage. Where it differs, is the detail. While it retains all the original character - open fire, wooden floors, ship’s mast beams - it has been beautifully renovated to include bespoke antique furniture, unique artwork and free broadband. It is light, bright and spacious - perfect for that week-long holiday or short break. Dunsley is our pride and joy; we love it, and hope you will too. Please note: Dunsley has steep internal staircases. While these add to its character, they make the cottage unsuitable for people who are movement-impaired. For safety reasons we can’t accommodate mobile children but are happy to discuss suitability for small babies.
