October 2016

Back to reality!  Just to let you know we had a brilliant time at Dunsley and wish we were still there!  Loved everything about Dunsley and Staithes, both very special indeed. It's not surprising people keep returning, just hope you manage to fit time there around all the bookings! Malcolm enjoyed the fishing at the harbour around tea time while I watched the sun going down sitting at your lovely spot by the car deck.  What a sun trap when no easterly wind and not bad for Oct! The Illusion Trail was a great way to explore all the fascinating alleyways tho we still missed one of them! We enjoyed a meal and quiz night at the Cod and Lobster and had a fabulous meal at Cleveland Corner. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and have lots of lovely memories and photos. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cottage with us. Susan & Malcolm, Whitley Bay

Now we're back home (and back to work/reality!) I wanted to drop you a quick line to say how much we enjoyed our week's stay at Dunsley. First time we’ve been to Staithes, what a lovely quiet village. Cottage is lovely, has everuthing we needed for a relaxing break away. Helen & Ken, Northumberland

Our first trip to Staithes. What a quaint little fishing village and brilliant pubs. But what really made our wedding anniversary so special was the gem of a cottage that is Dunsley. Judy has made sure that all visitors’ needs are catered for, even down to little things like ear plugs and sewing kit. Plus all the details are sent to you pre-stay with excellent explanations. Also the parking space is a real advantage – we parked the car and left it there for the full duration! With this cottage being so well appointed, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, we will definitely return. It's an amazing village full of character and what locals there are, are very friendly - we went to the quiz at the Royal George on Friday night!! And the weather also was brilliant. So, a fantastic weekend.  Margot & Graham, Harrogate

We had a lovely time and must say you really have thought of everything to make for a very comfortable and special weekend. We loved the coal fire and kept it going most of the weekend. We had a few visitors passing by obviously curious to see the cottage that had been featured on ‘Homes by the Sea’ and one who asked to come in and look at the “mast from Captain Cook’s ship”!!  We felt like celebrities!
